                                       Mr.David  Mura Presentation: Discussion about the book "When the Emperor was Divine", and his personal life.
                      

           In the Presentation of Mr. David Mura we could appreciate the ability and talent he possesses as a poet, novelist, memoirist and performer to explore what it means to be Japanese-American. Part of the introduction of his presentation was about the language and culture. For him “there are two languages culture and race”. He also said that “the impulse from literature comes from our need and desire to express of we know unconsciously but we do not have the language to express and so we have to create that language. A part that caught my attention was when Mr. David Mura began to talk about the relationship that existed between the people of Japan and United States because of immigration issues in 1924. In my opinion I learned a lot with Mr. David Mura because I met about his life many of his poems were about his personal life as he read to us about her grandfather and grandmother and other poem called an Argument. I learned about the meaning of Japanese Americans called No-No. Something interesting was that he said once to his wife that do not call him “Japanese” or other kind of name because he is an “American”person.

           Reading this novel made understand about the live of hundreds of Japanese people who lived in the United States when World War II began .One of my favorite and interesting part was the final because Julie Otsuka describe how they had to rebuild their lives after having spent three years in concentration camps.
            
           
       
                                                      Visiting our class Masako Patrum:


                     The visit of Masako Patrum to our class was a very interesting experience for me and our class. We learned about the culture, religion,history, and other characteristics of Japan.Also we learned about the life of her.She was born in Okinawa, Japan, and came to the United States when she was a little baby whit her parents.She is graduated from the University, she has a Major in Education and Master Degree. She works like translator and interpreter.Masako told us about an anecdote about her personal life that she was teaching in an Elementary School without electricity, air conditioning, street lights, and no theater.On the other hand she mentioned the Second War World and the consequences that occurred in Japan.She spoke about the book we are reading When the Emperor was Divine and gave us her personal opinion about the book.

Pedagogical approaches of Deaf and Hearing preschools in Japan.

These kind of children need special attention.Experts help these child with technology and special equipment that help them to hear for the child that are deaf and to write for the child who are blind.The family and the community are very important for them , these two are the fundamental base for them to grow up with these diseases and to learn how to communicate.

Japan is one of the countries that takes the education of its citizens seriously. Is one of the best educated countries, with 100% enrollment in mandatory grades which is a time period of nine years consisted of elementary school and junior high school and zero illiteracy.

Education is a fundamental right. In many countries education is not so easy.A lot of Japanese children attend to private school, at first day of school Japanese children has to do things by their own.Their parents are with their kids at first day of school.

Primary education in Japan


The complexity of Japanese writing is a very important part of the child education in Japan.Children learn to draw some characters.After work they have to clean all by themselves.Order is very important and there is a place for everything.They have a line for the slippers outside the classroom.Everyday they have a class leader , leadership is very important.In lunch time everyone has to participate , some students have to serve the food , others clean , they have to cover their mouth with polish and when the food is served they start to eat all together, and at the end they brush their teeth.
